Buda Castle Labyrinth passageThe Labyrinth of Buda Castle is an impressively netlike system in the core of the Buda Hill. It is nearby the fishermen´s bastion and the entrance is in a alley not easily to find, so that a lot of people may don´t get the impressions of the  about 1.200 meter long complex of caves and cellars in an area of about 4.000 qm. 

 

You can start your journey through the mysterious history if human being and many other oriented exhibition parts by taking a delicious glass of wine in the wine cellars located in the entrance area.

 

The Labyrinth were in the past, during the wars a safe place for the population. About 10.000 people could get Buda Castle Labyrinth Roomplace in an air raid shelter placed in the passages of the labyrinth and it was also used by military forces. At the walls in the Labyrinth you can have a look at cave painting.

You can decide between a couple of different programs and tours, like for example the Labyrinth of Love, which is only allowed to visit when its dark outside, the Children’s Labyrinth, the Personal Labyrinth or the Prehistorical Labyrinth.
